Employee experiences
#motivation
My main driver is satisfaction after successfully completing a project – the feeling when “things are spinning” and producing power.
#mywork
I execute projects mostly related to control systems dedicated for gas and steam turbines as well as other power generation applications. My ”typical” workday can vary quite a lot depending on the project type and phase. There are days when I am focused on hardware and electrical design, and other days when I am preparing control software or travelling for commissioning. In short, I’m never bored!
#opportunities
After graduating in chemical engineering I joined Valmet as a sales engineer and, after one year, I moved to the Process function where I am today. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work in several evaporation and gas system projects, in Brazil and Chile. I contributed and learned a lot from all the activities developed.
#rewarding
Being part of concept development, from the early stages of the project through to the start up of the plant is very rewarding. Working together with technology centers in Sweden and Finland and also with the customer allows a great exchange of knowledge and professional growth.
