Processing of personal data after filling in Valmet’s web form
The data you share with us is controlled and processed by Valmet Oyj for establishing, maintaining, and analyzing your relationship with Valmet. This may include direct marketing, which is specially tailored according to your interests.
Valmet will determine your interests in Valmet products and services through the information you explicitly give us when filling in the web form. Valmet will also be storing information about your visits to Valmet web sites with the help of cookies if you have accepted them. Tracking based on cookies may include viewed web pages, downloaded documents, date and time of access, and will be stored in your personal user profile. Information on whether and when you open a marketing e-mail will also be added to your profile based on tracking technologies such as web beacons. The information that you provided through the web form is stored as a part of you profile as well. This data included name, email address and telephone number, your country, city, and organization. Providing some of this data is voluntary. Your profile may be associated with additional information from other sources, such as LinkedIn. Your information may be further transferred to Valmet’s Customer Relationship Management System for sales purposes where it will be processed as described in Valmet’s Customer and Supplier Privacy Notice. The legal basis for the processing is legitimate interests pursued by the controller except for the tracking related information where the legal basis is your consent.
The data may be accessed by relevant personnel within the Valmet group, as well as data processors Valmet is contracting for supporting its business. By default, the data will be stored in the EU. However, when needed, the data may be accessed by Valmet’s personnel or data processors from outside of the EU. EU Model Clauses or other valid transfer mechanisms are used as appropriate safeguards for the access from outside of the EEA. The data will be stored as long as it considered current and relevant. Valmet will maintain customer relationship information for a period which may exceed 10 years.
Valmet will support the applicable data subject’s rights. This includes their rights of access to, rectification of, or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing concerning the data subject or to object to processing including direct marketing. The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (data protection authority).
