Valmet’s wastewater solutions promoted in Middle East
Apr 27, 2017
Valmet’s wastewater solutions were introduced at the 4th Arab Water week last March in Dead Sea, Jordan. In March 19-21, Valmet participated for the first time in the 4th Arab Water Week, in Dead Sea, Jordan, whose main topics this year was “Managing Water Systems within Fragile Environments in the Arab Region”.
The Arab Water Week (AWW) is an international meeting in the Arab region which tackles water management issues through the establishment of innovative partnerships and platforms of collaborative work on water issues in the region. This event was organized by ACWUA, the Arab Countries Water Utilities Association, which is partnering with the international water organizations and water centers around the world to implement different projects that serve the water sector in the Arab countries. Since its official launching in 2009 in Amman, ACWUA has expanded its membership network to reach more than 100 water utility members from 18 Arab countries, in addition to private sector companies, NGO’s & academic institutions, and individual members.
The Arab Water week as a global center of excellence has served as a regional platform for international exchange of knowledge to provide best practices and capacity building to staff utility members, experts and professionals. This is a very interesting networking platform, where Suleyman Gemici was our Valmet’s spokesman, giving a lecture on “Mass flow based controls with solid measurements” during the conference which brought together about 500 experts from the water sector, whom represented governments, regional and international organizations, private water and sanitation utilities, and scientific research institutes.
This first participation of Valmet brings an interesting outlook, where networking activities will continue to promote our Analyzers and Measurements solutions in the Middle East area.
