CMPC Recognizes Valmet for Outstanding Safety Performance in Mill Maintenance

Global technology and service provider Valmet has been recognized by CMPC, a leading forestry and pulp company, for its exceptional occupational health and safety performance in outsourced mill maintenance.

On January 20, CMPC awarded Valmet’s Mill Maintenance Outsourcing (MMO) team at the Santa Fe Mill for achieving a zero-accident rate in 2024, reinforcing the company’s commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.

Their commitment not only ensures the well-being of their employees but also fosters a strong safety culture,” said Benito Román, Occupational Health and Safety Manager at CMPC’s Santa Fe Mill.

Valmet, a global leader in industrial process technologies, automation, and services for the pulp, paper, and energy industries, has been responsible for maintenance operations at the Santa Fe Mill’s wood handling area since 2021. Through innovative safety practices and a rigorous risk prevention approach, the company has contributed to creating a secure and efficient work environment.
