Valmet opens a new global production unit in Jelenia Gora, Poland

Valmet is proud to announce the grand opening of its new Global Production Unit in Jelenia Gora, Poland. The unit produces spare parts and consumables such as doctoring products and dewatering elements to papermakers globally. The inauguration ceremony was held on March 4, 2025, and was attended by the local authorities, media, Valmet’s management and the local production teams. This milestone marks the completion of the unit’s full-scale transformation to a global production unit.

The unit has gone through an end-to-end transformation and is now equipped with deep expertise on production technology and designed to enhance productivity, quality and safety. Opening the Jelenia Gora production unit is also an important step to further strengthen our presence in Europe,” says Aki Niemi, Business Line President, Services, Valmet.

The new production unit is the latest addition to Valmet's global network of consumable production units. Today the new production unit employs 37 Valmet professionals.
