In modern pulp production, operating sustainably is a continuous goal – pulp producers around the world are aiming for closed circles and are working to minimize waste and harness side streams. By working closely with our customers and placing heavy emphasis on R&D, we continuously expand our offering with new solutions. These solutions turn different production side streams into new value-adding products such as lignin and sulfuric acid.

Lignin production

LignoBoost® makes it possible for Kraft pulp mills to produce high-quality lignin. Lignin is a renewable material with possible uses in a wide range of industries. Using lignin instead of fossil materials will lower emissions of CO2.

Methanol Purification

Upgrade existing methanol plants for production of high quality methanol.

Sulfuric Acid Plant

Turpentine decanting

Sulfate turpentine is an economically important by-product which can be recovered from the Kraft pulping of resinous woods. High separation efficiency of turpentine from water phase is possible in a Linder type turpentine decanter. The turpentine decanter is in principal a cylindrical vessel, equipped with a conical funnel in the bottom part and with an overflow for separated turpentine in the upper part.
