Replacing old quality control system (QCS) on Stora Enso Skoghall board machine KM 8 with a modern Valmet IQ system with three scanners, has cut the time of grade changes by 25%. KM 8 is the biggest liquid packaging board machine in the world, with a production capacity of 465,000 tonnes of five-ply board coated three times on the top side with a starch application on the wire side.
