Description
The main purpose of the cooking plant is to free the wood fibers and separate the lignin.
Objective
An introduction to continuous cooking and brings up how chemicals and heat are used to remove the fiber binding lignin so that chips can defibrate easily to fibers, and that the lignin and cooking chemicals are later removed from the pulp suspension by washing. After the course, the participant should know the design and function of the machines in a Compact Cooking G2 system, as well as the basics in the cooking process and the operational strategy of the system.
