Maxum Operation with GCP Level 1
Course Code MAXGCP1 4 days - 32 hours
Audience
The course uses Gas Chromatograph Portal (GCP) workstation software and is intended for individuals responsible for maintaining the Maxum Gas Chromatography and for users who need to perform routine maintenance and calibration.
Pre-requisite
Strongly encourage technicians in this course with Basic Chromatography knowledge and skills.
Profile
The course covers operations, setup, and calibration of the Maxum Gas Chromatograph, an overview of the Maxum GCP Workstation Software. (GCP replaces both System Monitor and EZChrom). The course can be taught at customer site, and customized specific to the actual onsite systems.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the technician competencies include:
1. Perform basic maintenance on the Maxum system.
2. Balance the carrier gas flows.
3. Setup the analyzer valve timing.
4. Setup the Electronic Pressure Controller (EPC).
5. Access Maxum’s using GCP – Network View.
6. Adjust peak times with the GCP.
7. Calibrate the analyzer with GCP.
8. Backup and restore the analyzer database.
