Valmet to equip Canan in Turkey  with a new MG Machine

Valmet has signed a contract with Canan Kağıt Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ in Turkey to deliver a new line for MG (Machine Glazed) paper production. This comprehensive project includes an extensive automation package and services, with the start-up scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.

Current trends in the paper industry challenge both: quality and production costs, especially in MG paper grades. Valmet’s selected MG line design, combined with advanced technology, is enabling to push the boundaries even further.

Information about the delivery

Valmet’s delivery scope includes Valmet stock preparation, a complete MG paper machine, and Valmet OptiWin winder. It also includes a wide range of Valmet automation solutions (incl. the Valmet DNA distributed control system, Valmet IQ Quality Control System, Profilers, Web Monitoring and Web Inspection systems) and additionally site services, spare parts and consumables packages.  Installation supervision, testing and start up services are also part of the delivery. The medium-sized machine will produce high-quality MG paper, helping Canan Kağıt to create a good market position with a competitive product.
