At Valmet, field service is more than just maintenance—it’s about collaboration, problem-solving, and delivering real results. Derrick Pinnow, Field Services Manager, Press / Calendar (formerly Manager of Field Service Engineering and Components), leads a team of engineers in Beloit and oversees field service technicians working on critical paper machine components, including fabric insertion units (FIU), threading systems, high-pressure cleaners, and iRoll testing.

For Derrick, success is a team effort. “The part about Valmet I enjoy the most is working together as a team to get to the end goal—learning new things, taking different paths, but in the end, succeeding,” he shares. By maintaining strong communication with project leaders and field service personnel,  Derrick ensures seamless service and optimal machine performance for Valmet’s customers.
