Valmet to deliver the first quality control system for corrugator to Ajin P&P Guji in Korea

Valmet will supply a Valmet IQ Quality Control System for corrugator to Ajin P&P Co., Ltd. for its Guji mill in Korea. The mill is located in Daegu, in the south-eastern province of South Korea, and produces packaging materials, primarily corrugated board, to provide packaging solutions for various industries.  The order includes one system for upgrading an existing corrugator and another for a completely new greenfield project, allowing the mill to improve productivity and end-product quality.

The order is included in Valmet’s orders received during the second quarter of 2024. The value of the order is not disclosed. The delivery is scheduled to be by early second quarter of 2025.

Delivery's technical information

The delivery to Ajin P&P Co., Ltd. Guji mill will include Valmet's advanced technology for corrugated sheet quality optimization. It will feature Valmet IQ Warp Measurement and Valmet IQ Moisturizer with three spray booms, designed to control cross-directional warping automatically. Additionally, it will include Valmet IQ Multipoint Moisture, Temperature Measurement System and Vamet IQ MW Moisture Measurement for precise control of the sheet moisture level and balances. These systems will help Ajin P&P eliminate post-warping and cracking issues, while maximizing plant performance.
