Processing of Personal Data

The data is controlled and processed by Valmet Oyj for maintaining and analyzing customer relationships and for developing Valmet’s strategy. The legal basis for the processing is Valmet’s legitimate interests of understanding customers and developing its offerings. The data will not be used for other purposes. The data items processed include the survey responses and contact information. The data may be accessed by relevant personnel within the Valmet group, as well as data processors Valmet is contracting for organizing subscription. By default, the data will be stored in the EU. However, when needed, the data may be accessed by processor from outside of the EU. EU Model Clauses are used as appropriate safeguards for the access from outside of the EEA. The survey results will be stored for two years, the contact information provided will be maintained until it becomes obsolete. Valmet will support the applicable data subject’s rights. This includes their rights of access to, rectification of, or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing concerning the data subject, data portability, or to object to processing. The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (data protection authority).
