Valmet´s seasonal donation to Plan International

Valmet continues its holiday season tradition to support selected global non-profit organizations. Every year Valmet's employees globally vote for the donation target, and this year the support goes to Plan International. Valmet donates EUR 20,000 as an independent supporter.

“Valmet’s seasonal donation voting is an important tradition for our employees globally, and this year we are happy to announce that the support goes to Plan International’s significant work in providing children free and equal access to quality education,” says Laura Puustjärvi, Head of Sustainability, Valmet.

Plan International works to improve the rights for the world’s most vulnerable children and youth.

“We would like to express our gratitude to Valmet for the remarkable donation to supporting Plan's work to promote equality around the world. With the donation, Plan will advance equal opportunities for children and young people to go to school, grow up safe and make informed decisions about their future. Together with communities, Plan continues working despite the burdened situation caused by COVID-19. This donation will enable 500 children an access to education,” says Ossi Heinänen, Plan International Finland CEO.
