Video: Valmet’s sustainability engagement program for selected key suppliers in China

Sustainable supply chain is one of Valmet’s sustainability focus areas. Our target is to continuously enhance our supply chain management and the transparency of our value chain.

Sustainability is integrated into our Supplier Relationship Management in order to constantly support suppliers’ sustainability operations. To further strengthen the sustainability supply chain actions and deepen the cooperation with suppliers, we launched a sustainability engagement program for selected key suppliers in China in 2018.

The program has a systematic approach to support and monitor the suppliers’ performance and to ensure the suppliers can take the most critical steps to develop their sustainability in practice.

In the video below, David Sun, Valmet’s Director of China Supply chain, explains how Valmet supports its suppliers in sustainability. Representatives from Valmet’s suppliers Hongjie He, General Manager of Baoji Wanzheng Industry Trade, and Jeff Zheng, CEO of Seaflower (Shanghai) Marine, tell how the sustainability engagement program has helped them to develop their sustainability.
