Metso Paper opens a Remote Diagnostics Center in Pori, Finland

Metso Paper's Chemical Pulping Business Line has recently opened a Remote Diagnostics Center in Pori, Finland. The new center belongs to Metso’s remote expert network, which in turn forms a vital part of the company’s Future Care portfolio. Chemical Pulping Business Line experts are now able to serve their customers with remote process and machinery monitoring, diagnostic tools and communications technology. Remote expert services enable improvements in overall mill performance, such as higher process uptime, minimum production losses and higher product quality.
The new center is equipped with state-of-the-art communications technology and analysis tools to handle any amount of the process and equipment data necessary for avoiding problems, problem-solving and making recommendations for performance improvements. Online connections to the pulp mills make it possible to provide customers with rapid feedback when detecting, analyzing and solving any problem and avoiding them in the first place.
The Center also supports long-term improvement and development programs made in co-operation with the customer. Regular reports on mill performance and related recommendations are easy to communicate over the interactive connections. This service can be extended to include video-conferences with the customer and Metso specialists.
