Metso Paper has received a repeat order for its Condebelt drying technology. The customer, Wolsan Paper Co., is a sister company to Dong Il Paper Mfg. Co., Ansan, South Korea, where the same kind of paper dryer was started up in 1999. The delivery will take place at the end of 2003.
The delivery also includes a third paper ply-headbox, to be installed simultaneously with the Condebelt dryer. The machine trims at 4,600 mm and has a maximum speed of 850 m/min.
Condebelt is a next generation paper drying solution, which essentially gives the paper better strength and printability. Paper dried with the Condebelt dryer enables the use of lower quality raw material and thinner paper in the manufacture of corrugated containers.
Wolsan Paper, together with its sister companies Dong Il Paper and Tailim Packaging, is the leading supplier of corrugated containers in South Korea.
