Metso Paper's contract for the board line delivery to Turkey becomes effective

Metso Paper's contract for a board making line to Modern Karton Sanayi Ticaret AS has become effective. The value of the agreement is around EUR 80 million, and the order is included in the order book for the last quarter of 2005. The letter of intent was signed in February 2005.

The board line will be started up in the last quarter of 2007. The scope of the delivery covers a complete board making line including, in addition to the PM 4 board machine, an OCC line, stock preparation and water management systems, a WinDrum Pro winder and paper machine ventilation. The contract also includes mill engineering and metsoDNA machine controls by Metso Automation.

The annual capacity of the line, using 100 per cent recycled fiber as raw material, will be 400,000 tons of corrugating medium and testliner. The wire width of the board machine is 8.6 m and the design speed 1800 m/min.
