Metso settles trademark action with CEM

Metso Paper, Inc., Metso Paper USA, Inc. and CEM Machine, Inc. announce that they have entered into an agreement settling the trademark action brought by Metso against CEM in the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
Pursuant to the terms of the settlement, CEM has changed its name and agreed to refrain from use of Metso’s trademark, CARTHAGE, used in association with wood cutting machinery.
Metso manufactures and services CARTHAGE® chippers, re-chippers and parts for use in the pulp and papermaking industry, which are well-known for their long-term quality.
