Metso supplies a containerboard machine to Fujian Liansheng Paper in China

Metso will supply a containerboard machine to Fujian Liansheng Paper Co., Ltd., in Zhangzhou city, Fujian province, on the southeast coast of China. The start-up of the production line is scheduled for the last quarter of 2010. The value of the order will not be disclosed.

Metso’s delivery will include a complete board machine from headbox to reel. The new 6.4-m-wide (wire) PM 3 will produce around 300,000 tonnes of fluting annually within the basis weight range 80 – 120 g/m2. The design speed of the machine will be 1,100 m/min.

Fujian Liansheng Paper Co., Ltd. started paper production in 1999. The company established the Zhangzhou mill site in 2006.
