Metso to supply containerboard line to Amcor in Australia

Metso Paper will supply a containerboard line to Amcor in Australia. The start-up of the production is scheduled for the second half of 2010. As agreed with the customer, the value of the order is not disclosed. The order will be included in Metso Paper´s orders received.
Metso's delivery will include a complete boardmaking line from stock preparation (OCC and mixed waste lines) to roll handling, including automation by Metso. Cooperation agreement covering process support services, such as remote monitoring, will be signed for the new line between Metso and Amcor.
The new machine B9 will be the largest boardmaking line in Australia. It will be equipped with two OptiFormer gapformer units, a closed draw double nip OptiPress press section and ValSizer film size press. This concept will ensure that B9 will meet the market expectations with very high quality containerboard to be used in various packaging applications.
