New CEO for Metso Paper's Japan office

Mr. Masaji Takizawa, CEO of Metso Paper K.K. in Tokyo, retired on 31st December 2002 after a long and distinguished career in Metso Paper and its predecessors. Mr. Takizawa started the Sunds office in Japan and after the Metso merger was appointed to lead the new combined Metso Paper office. We are pleased to note that despite his retirement Mr. Takizawa will continue to be available to Metso Paper K.K. in the capacity of Advisor.
Mr. Isamu Maeda has been appointed the new CEO of Metso Paper K.K. from 1st January 2003. He is also a veteran in Metso Paper and was earlier President of Valmet's sales company in Tokyo. After the Metso merger he was in charge of the Paper Machinery Division of Metso Paper K.K.
We thank Mr. Takizawa for his valuable contributions to Metso Paper and wish Mr. Maeda success in his new position.
