More than 300 tissue papermakers from 35 nations will gather at the Metso Paper Tissue Technology Conference in Sunne, Sweden this week. Representatives from 81 companies will meet at the Tissue Making 2002 conference on May 30–31.
“Once again the great interest shown in this conference indicates our leading position in tissue technology,” says Leif Forsberg, President, Tissue Making Lines, Metso Paper. “Our position has been reinforced by the recent large investments in our Tissue Technology Center here in Karlstad, Sweden,” Forsberg continues.
The seminar will focus on quality issues with special emphasis on fiber technology. Metso Paper has therefore chosen Södra Cell AB as its organizing partner.
The conference papers will handle a variety of issues, including Japanese excellence in producing high quality facial tissue, fibers for increased bulk and absorption, and new developments in the area of TAD (through air drying).
The Tissue Making Seminar, held every two years, is now being organized for the 10th time.
