Valmet to supply woodroom to Frantschach Swiecie S.A., Poland

Valmet Woodhandling Oy has been chosen to supply Frantschach Swiecie S.A. integrated pulp and paper mill in Poland with two debarking-chipping lines. The new woodroom will be built beside the existing woodroom facility. The capacity of both debarking lines is 290 solid m3/h of softwood and alternatively 190 solid m3/h of hardwood. The woodroom is capable of processing a total of 2.4 million solid m3 wood annually.
The project will include GentleFeed drum feed systems, EasyTyre barking drums 5.3 x 34 m, conveyor lines with stones and foreign material separation and a washing station between the barking drum and chipper, Camura GSTM 3000 Chippers with 12 knives and dust removal system for the barking drums. Moreover, bark conveyors with disc screen, bark shredders, water handling equipment, optimization systems for debarking as well as supervision for erection, start-up and training are all included in the project.
The scheduled start-up for the woodroom will be at the beginning of July 2001.
