To support the drive for growth and efficiency, Metso is consolidating its Minerals Capital (MCA) and Minerals Services (MSE) business activities in Pennsylvania to its current York office location and closing the Danville and Canonsburg sites.

Metso has opened a new service center specialized in process valve and field equipment solutions in Poland. The center has a key role in supporting pulp and paper, refinery and petrochemical industry customers with daily services, shutdowns and long-term maintenance programs. Metso to supply containerized crushing and screening plant to Saburkhan Technologies, allowing for cost efficiency and rapid plant set up

Metso received an order for a Metso NW220GPD(TM) portable crushing and screening plant to be delivered to Saburkhan Technologies at Aktas, Saran city, Kazakhstan. This order is among the first containerized wheel-mounted crushing plants to be transported overseas. The innovative mobile features of the Metso NW220GPD(TM) allow the equipment to be dismantled and packed into standard sea containers for easier, faster and more cost-efficient transportation.

Metso receives comprehensive valve solutions order for Sodra Cell's Varo pulp mill expansion in Sweden

Metso has been chosen as the main supplier of valve solutions for Södra Cell's Värö pulp mill expansion in Sweden. The extensive valve delivery includes a total of about 700 ball, segment and butterfly valves for on-off and control applications from the Neles® and Jamesbury® product portfolios. The control valves are equipped with Neles® ND9000 series intelligent valve controllers, which have the capability for advanced performance follow-up. To enable good service levels for Södra Cell's pulp mill and other flow control customers in Sweden, Metso opens a new valve service center in the Gothenburg area. The new service center will be operational in autumn 2015.

Metso's Lokomo celebrates 100 years - From steam locomotive manufacturer to crushing equipment competence center

Metso's Tampere unit, better known locally as Lokomo, is celebrating its one hundredth year of industrial existence in May in Tampere, Finland. Oy Lokomo Ab started operating in Tampere in April 1915. Today Metso's Tampere unit is the company's most important global competence center for mobile crushers. The crushing and screening equipment to efficiently and safely crush rock and ore are developed in Tampere.

Metso receives major control valve order for petrochemical plant project in Turkmenistan

Metso has received a large control valve order for Turkmenistan's national oil and gas company Turkmengas's petrochemical plant project. The delivery includes standard and severe service globe valves and butterfly valves ranging in size from 1/2" to 20"   from the Neles® and Jamesbury® product portfolios. Metso is also providing Neles® ND9000 intelligent valve controllers, which have the capability for advanced performance follow-up.
