Metso has concluded the study related to Tampere foundry announced in 2013. As a result Metso will divest the Tampere foundry to a Finnish company TEVO. The new owner will continue the foundry operations under the TEVO-Lokomo name at the foundry's current premises in Tampere.

Metso has agreed to a five year life-cycle services contract with The Kami Mine Limited Partnership, an affiliate of Alderon, with respect to the development of their Kami iron ore project located in the Western Labrador region of Canada. The contract encompasses the ongoing maintenance services with respect to all the equipment in the processing area. Within this agreement Metso will also be providing spare and wear parts including Metso's patented MegalinerTM mill linings. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
