Innovation spotlight: new hard nip sizing technology

OptiSizer Hard is Valmet’s completely new size application method, which uses higher nip loads to improve sheet strength properties by taking advantage of better starch penetration and decreasing fiber to fiber distance. Also, the life cycle costs of the sizer are lower due spray application and runnability is better due to better nip profile control.

Energy-efficient air drying at SAICA, El Burgo

Safety played a key role when SAICA El Burgo in Zaragoza, Spain, chose air drying technology for their new, Valmet-supplied off-line coating machine. High coating quality proved at pilot trials and energy savings compared to IR dryers were also important.

APP Jingui PM2 - Seamless cooperation creates maximum synergy

APP Jingui BM2 is a complete large-scale high-speed production line for coated white cardboard, delivered by Valmet. APP Jingui BM2 has been a success from the moment it started up.
