Collaboration with Borås Energi & Miljö in Sweden, the cooperation started during the take-over of the plant back in 2019. Through a Performance Agreement Valmet and Borås Energi & Miljö enable stable production by minimizing unforeseen shutdowns.

Solution

Process optimization, operation support and continuous plant development activities was implemented together with optimization of the maintenance process.

The comprehensive 3-year Performance Agreement also included:

  • Performance evaluation 4 times per year
  • Digital tools in use for efficient, fast support and process data transfer
  • Shut-down planning and effective supervision
  • 24/7 support via Customer portal and Valmet Performance Center
  • On-demand process and operation support
  • Test of Boiler Safety Related System (SRS test)
  • Annual inspections of main equipment and tube thickness measurement program
  • Shutdown planning and supervision
  • Performance evaluation and reporting 4 times per year
  • Spare part management
Results

Unplanned downtime was minimized, and overall performance increased through fast and effective support, scheduled maintenance stops, and continuous process development based on performance evaluations and inspections.
